StartConnectGrow: Empowering the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs

StartConnectGrow (SCG) is a dynamic six-week summer initiative designed to inspire high school students in DeKalb County who are interested in starting or developing their own businesses. Through targeted support, SCG helps young entrepreneurs build the skills they need to succeed and fosters a passion for innovation and business creation.

Our program focuses on underserved high school students who may lack access to entrepreneurial education and mentorship. While these students may face challenges, they come with boundless curiosity, creativity, and drive, eager to explore the possibilities of entrepreneurship.

SCG’s summer curriculum introduces students to core business concepts such as financial literacy, marketing, and leadership in an immersive and creative environment. By exposing them to practical, real-world business scenarios, we prepare them for the challenges they will face in their entrepreneurial journeys.

Our vision is to make a lasting impact on the career aspirations and business success of our students, empowering them to emerge as future business leaders who make meaningful contributions to their communities. SCG graduates will leave the program with a clear understanding of how to take their ideas from concept to reality and grow them into sustainable ventures.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, and partners, SCG covers all costs for participating students, including materials, transportation, and meals. Only a small registration fee is required as a sign of commitment from families.
